Case on Former River Valley High School Principal
In 2012, the Corrupt Practices Investigation Bureau (CPIB) was investigating Koh Yong Chiah, the former principal of River Valley High School, for a possible corruption offence involving a vendor whom he allegedly had an affair with.
2. The CPIB has completed its investigation. Koh Yong Chiah will be charged in Court on 17 July 2014 with one count of knowingly giving false information to public servants, an offence punishable under Section 182 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224 (1985 Rev Ed), and one count of giving false information to an investigator of the CPIB, an offence punishable under Section 28 (b) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, Chapter 241.
